Snoop Dogg Celebrates His Transformation to Lion

Snoop Lion, the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg, appears to be committed to his Rastafarian rebirth. The lifestyle, the music, and the look seemed to have stuck—at least, for now.

New York Post’s Page 6 is reporting that the artist did a special guest appearance at the Box in New York City on Friday night.
After the set—which apparently included a vocal and DJ performance—Snoop and his crew took to the Lower East Side-based establishment’s upstairs, to watch the remainder of the show. And to probably smoke a lot of weed, too.

Acts that night included a Wizard of Oz-themed break-dance routine, which—thinking about it—sounds like it could only improve when the audience is high.

In addition to giving unexpected performances, Snoop screened his new documentary, Reincarnated, at the Bowery Hotel. The film chronicles the artist’s extended journey to Jamaica to partake in island life and embrace this new laid back chapter of his career.

Here, he recorded his new album with Philly-based DJ Diplo, who served as producer. The release, as he explains in a trailer for the doc., features zero rap.

Instead, it presents a chirpier sound, a more positive message, and obvious island influences, with songs like “Here Comes the King,” featuring Angela Hunte, as proof. It will be released by RCA Records.

“As you become a man, you start having kids and living,” he previously told GQ. “You put the guns away, and your music becomes Hey, I'm with my kid and I'm living now... as opposed to F*ck that—I'll shoot you on sight.”

Kim Kardashian denies Nigerian hate tweet

American celeb Kim Kardashian has come out to publicly deny that she insulted Nigerians on her twitter account claiming that somebody used her name to send a fake
tweet.
Kim K was reacting to a fake tweet posted on Tuesday March 26. The tweet showed the TV star making an expensive joke over her trip to Nigeria and it immediately went viral. The reality show celeb received loads of negative comments from angry Nigerians on the social network one of which was Nigerian rapper, 2Shotz.
It was later discovered that the tweet was fake when the impostor responding to the negative comments by aggrieved followers  sent a tweet that revealed it could not have been from the American celeb.
The tweet read: 'I wld av replied Nigerians but i don't want to say anything and my oga at the top would say another thing'.
Kim K however expressed shock and disappointment at the development.
'I see there's a photo shopped tweet floating around, supposedly something I said about Nigeria. That was NOT me, or my feelings', she tweeted hours ago, reacting to the drama for the first time.
That fake tweet is very disturbing & I would NEVER EVER tweet something like that', she tweeted on her account. Some of her comments are below.

Kim Kardashian visited Nigeria for the first time in February 2013 for R&B Nigerian singer, Darey's 'Love Like a Movie' music concert in Lagos and she was alleged to have been paid $500,000 for appearing for some minutes at the show. This caused a lot of criticism as Nigerians vented their anger on the organizers over the wastage of funds just for dazzling beauty to male an appearance.

Exit of A legend Justus Esiri

Born on 20 November 1942 in Oria-Abraka, Delta State, Esiri attended Urhobo College, Effurun, Warri in Delta State. He later traveled to Germany to study engineering at the Maximilian University, Munich, Germany, in 1964, where he developed  interest in theatre.

A  Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), Esiri started his acting career in Germany and ranked as the only Nigerian male  that performed  on stage between 1968 and 1969. He also worked as a translator at voice of Nigeria VON, German Service,

In a career that spanned decades, late Esiri, shot to lime light in the early 80’s through the popular TV series, Village Headmaster which aired on the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA. He also featured in many interesting Nollywood movies.

With the departure of the disciplinarian, Pete Eneh;  David Ihesie; the lady of song, Christy Essien Igbokwe; Comedian, Sam Loco Efe; Ashley Nwosu; James Iroha (Giringory Akabuogu); Enebeli Enebuwa who died   two months ago in an Indian hospital, Goldie Harvey, and just last week, Justice Esiri, Nigerians wish nothing less than a capital full final stop on the list , after chief Justice Esiri’s name.

It is so painful especially for the fact that these were all A-Listers in the entertainment industry, who have proved so much relevance in the industry. It is even more disheartening that they all died as a result of one ailment or the other, thus exposing the health conditions of  Nigerians who most often, struggle amidst ill health just to make a living due to the harsh economic realities of the time.

Chief Justice Esiri, renowned for his role as the headmaster in the popular 80’s sitcom, “The Village HeadMaster” was one actor who gave all Nigerians the privilege of enjoying and taping from his wealth of experience.
His role in “The Village Headmaster” was excellent, little wonder it shot him to limelight. He made sure viewers at home never regretted rushing home to get glued to their sets by 8pm on the day the programme was broadcast.

And after the programme went off air, Chief Esiri had a smooth transition into Nollywood, where he made himself even more relevant. From Playing the role of the loving father, to chief, business tycoon, Don, etc, Justus left no stone unturned at justifying whatever his earnings were and of course, his educational background.
He will forever be remembered as one of the movie actors who was so natural while on stage. He interpreted his roles with so much ease that viewers found it difficult drawing a line between the world of  make believe and reality.

Late Esiri was last seen at a close-door parley, few weeks  ago when a delegation of the Federal Government led by Secretary to the Federal Government, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, met some major stakeholders in the entertainment industry in Lagos, to inform them about their expected role in the forthcoming centenary celebration.
                                              RIP
